Company formation
Setting up your company with a business address in Schönefeld
For your formation, we provide the address, the documents and initial guidance. For tax, notarisation, business planning and insurance, we can give you contact details for professionals on request.
- Contract possible before registration – digitally or on site, in time for your notary appointment
- Documents for the notary, commercial register and trade office
- Setting up a GmbH or UG: two free months from your notary appointment

Two free months from your notary appointment
If you set up a GmbH or UG – including as a holding company – with its business address at our premises, the first two months from the date of your notary appointment are free of charge. The background: in our experience, it takes around eight weeks from the filing to the entry in the commercial register; in individual cases, it may be quicker or take longer. During this start-up phase, you should be able to focus on the notary appointment, the business account and registration.
Conditions and how it works
- Condition: you set up a new GmbH or UG (haftungsbeschränkt) – including as a holding company – with its business address at our premises, i.e. the new company uses our address as its business address. The offer does not apply to sole proprietors.
- The first two months from the day of your notary appointment are free of charge. After that, the price in your offer applies.
- Let us know in your enquiry that you are setting up a company – via “Setting up a GmbH/UG” in the form, or in your WhatsApp or email message. If you already know the date of your notary appointment, add it, or tell us later.
Note: Good to know
You can use the address from the start of the contract, including for your business account. The prerequisite: your identity has been verified and the contract has been signed. Whether and when a bank opens the account is its own decision, made as part of its own checks – nobody can guarantee it.
Guidance, not advice
What we do for your company formation – and what we do not
What we take care of
- included: An address for service (ladungsfähige Anschrift) as registered office and domestic business address – on real commercial premises with building approval
- included: A personal, lockable mailbox with mail acceptance
- included: Rental agreement and confirmation of address for the notary, commercial register, trade office and bank
- included: On request, contacts to professionals from the region
What we do not take care of
- not included: Legal and tax advice, insurance advice or arranging insurance
- not included: Notarisation and filing with the commercial register – that is the notary’s job
- not included: The formation itself: we do not set up companies for others
- not included: Bookkeeping and other operational support
Legal note: No legal, tax or insurance advice
What we explain is general guidance from a landlord’s perspective. Advice on individual cases is reserved for persons authorised to provide it (Legal Services Act, Tax Advisers Act; for insurance, section 34d of the Trade Regulation Act – Gewerbeordnung).
General information
The typical path to forming a UG or GmbH
This is how forming a UG or GmbH with cash contributions typically works – general guidance, not advice for your individual case. Explained in detail in our guide.
- Secure your business address: Registered office and business address should be settled before the notary appointment. How you can sign the contract with us beforehand is something we clarify in our offer – see also two free months.
- Notary appointment: The notary notarises the articles of association or the standard protocol (Musterprotokoll) and certifies the filing with the commercial register – in many cases also by video.
- Business account and share capital: With the deed of formation, you open the business account and pay in the contributions; you can already use our address for this.
- Entry in the commercial register: Only with the entry does the GmbH or UG come into existence; until then, it operates as a company “in formation”.
- Transparency register: A separate obligation alongside registration – the company notifies its beneficial owners; banks, among others, ask for proof.
- Trade registration: If your company carries on a trade, register it with the trade office (Gewerbeamt) where you actually carry out your business – if that is Schönefeld, it is about 650 metres from our premises (Mittelstraße 3a).
- Tax registration: You submit the questionnaire via ELSTER to the tax office at the place of management (§ 20 AO) – ideally with your tax adviser.
Our network for your company formation
On request, we can give you contact details for tax advisers, notaries, lawyers, start-up advisers and insurance brokers – external professionals from the region who also advise in English. Putting you in touch is free of charge for you – we neither receive nor pay any commission for it. We only pass your contact details on to professionals if you ask us to. We do not provide legal, tax or insurance advice, do not name any insurance products and are not involved in any contracts with these professionals.
We are in contact with regional institutions, including Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse and the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce), keep an eye on funding programmes and are happy to pass on relevant information.
